benntop's Journal: First post!

Well, I have stared at the "journal" button long enough that I thought I would make an entry. I have been toying with the idea of writing my own journal with php/mysql, but why go to the trouble when I have this?

My first post is an Apple post because I have been knee-deep in iTunes and the Apple Music Service for two days now. Damn Apple. Every time they release a new version of iTunes I end up spending hours upon hours tweaking my music collection.

  With iTunes v2 it reorganized my entire collection by the ID3 tags, which meant that I had to go through the entire 20gig of music and correct all the mistakes. With v3 it added the ranking system, which meant that I had to rank most of my music. Now with version four they have added cover art and I have been grabbing jpegs off of Amazon's site for hours and hours. All these feature are super-sweet in the end, but they are a pain in the rear to get up to speed.

I can only wonder with a mix of glee and horror what version 5 will bring...
