I really don't know what the problem is. You can only control your reaction. Ignore them. The mod system will bash them down to -1 where they belong.. it just may take a few days for it to occur.

it says they might sell it or invest more into it. does it not mean what it says? is it like when a coach says they aren't leaving and then you know they'll be gone within a week - or is it accurate?

No reason they won't sell it if someone offers enough cash. Saying they will consider alternatives is fine, but a cash/stock bid for outright sale would probably get attention from management.
