Journal deadgoon42's Journal: Finally, I see why meta-moderating is good

I recently wrote a comment that was critical of the general Slashdot consensous. If you read the article and then read the comments that are highly rated, then you should see that my comment is valid and relavent. However, someone moderated my comment down and listed it as Offtopic. I believe that this moderation was in error and probably given out by someone who was one of the hypocrites in question. It irked me when I read the article and saw that the comments were basically saying that the people who tried to steal the cable were so wrong. The commenters were so righteous and justified in their proclamations. Of course these are the same people who think it is okay to download music and software without paying for it as they should. I am making a broad generalization there, but the point is that the two things are the same thing, you are stealing something. I think that people who are making these comments should make sure that all of their software is properly licensed and all of their music is not illegally downloaded before they get on their high horse.
