Journal SPAM: Everyone seems to think we are ONLY a two-party political system 7

The vast majority of people in the United States seem to think we have only two political parties in this country, and that you have three choices:

1) Vote Republican
2) Vote Democrat
3) Don't vote

I am here to remind you that there are MORE THAN TWO POLITICAL PARTIES IN THE U.S. and that you are free to belong to or vote for candidates from ANY of them at ANY time there is an election -- and that furthermore, you do not have to be affiliated with ANY political party, either as a voter OR as a candidate.

You don't like Trump? You don't like Clinton? You can vote for SOMEONE ELSE, and in November 2016 I highly recommend to EVERYONE that they do precisely that. Trump is unqualified and quite frankly, as of today, TRAITOROUS. Clinton is not trustworthy. That makes neither one of them appropriate or desirable. Vote for someone else 2016! Hell, vote for ANYONE ELSE 2016!

  • Don't waste your time voting in a system that was never meant to be for actual people. The founder's justified their revolution by the philosophy of Locke, who got most of his other ideas from Hobbes, who thought that people should not complain unless the ruler was actively killing them.

Madison said if people were angels we wouldn't need government. I say people can be taught to be angels. Someone asked me, who's definition of angels? God's or man. I replied merely the definition of angels that is sufficie

While the system is obviously designed to be easily gamed, doing nothing will achieve nothing.

The status quo is maintained by pitting two identical opponents against each other with a massive 'us v them' campaign. Voting for minor parties and independents won't have any bearing on the results of THIS election, but will serve as a catalyst for change in the following ways:

      • 1. Signal to voters that they are not alone in looking at alternatives
      • 2. Signal to parties that their policies are unpopular
      • 3. Signal to
      • Additionally, if 'not voting at all' became too popular of an idea, then eventually we would have the right to vote taken away from us. I don't want to live in an outright dictatorship.

Now I don't believe that they only need one vote.

I remember back in the year 3000 richard nixon won with only one vote...And there was only one vote cast.

      • I didn't say to do nothing. I said that voting and keeping informed about the ruling class did nothing. When nobody is paying attention to the ruling class, no matter what they do, they will defacto not be in power. Taking action involves acting like Gandhi, whose strategy and tactics I should really learn more about.

Well It's explored a bit in the kinos journeys episode "Three Men Along the Rails"

Where he runs across a town with a direct democracy and for whatever reason the majority found reason to have everyone executed until there was just one person left.

Doesn't sound very rational......and it seemed like a very extreme outcome.

But it's my understanding that's what they really believe would happen under a majority rule.

This morning there were people on the tv saying that pressure washers are dangerous and should no
