No, implying that if he was *REALLY* a traditional conservative like he claims to be, he would have stayed with Wife #1. After all- we Catholics know what Jesus said about divorce and remarriage, don't we?
Or at least, we're supposed to. I'm running into a surprising number of divorced baby boomer Catholics these days, and it *always* disturbs me.

Why? It just means they're human. Kind of comforting, really. After all, it's our flaws that make us interesting.

It disturbs me because my religion is the reason that word is banned in my household. Even infidelity, to me, is a horrible reason to get divorced. Spousal abuse at least makes more sense- but to me speaks to involuntary commitment in a mental institution rather than divorce.

Always been fine by me. Now, when a church steps in and starts throwing its weight around as how it 'should' be done, that's when we have problems.

He's a talk show host. That is to say, he is a pompous gasbag. His true ethics should have been evident from his nasty rants against drug addicts [fair.org], many of which were uttered WHILE HE WAS ADDICTED TO PRESCRIPTION PAINKILLERS! Just calling him a "hypocrite" doesn't do proper justice.
