Dave Stutz, Microsoft's former ambassador to the open-source community, has left the company. He's also posted a note -- "Advice to Microsoft regarding commodity software" -- on his website. It's a short and interesting read on the boat Microsoft is missing, and on the state of shrink-wrapped software's 'slow upmarket ooze'.
