Over at my LJ, I describe today's job interview, and how I might have botched part of it. What would you do in such a situation?

I have dealt with a lot of dodgy data (Score:1)
a) record problem - log it
b) call someone who 1) cares & 2) matters - report &/or escalate issue, the sooner it is managed the better chance it will be fixed
One time only data can't be replaced and if the people are in the field both samples could be replaced with known good one if the call is made.
c) put labels on vials marking them as dodgy and process as normal, there could have been a collection issue which caused them to sample twice and both samples may actually be needed to process it
