Journal Scott Lockwood's Journal: The result of moderation abuse 6

Slashdot only allows a user with your karma to post 2 times per day (more or less, depending on moderation). You've already shared your thoughts with us that many times. Take a breather, and come back and see us in 24 hours or so. If you think this is unfair, please email posting@slashdot.org with your username "Scott Lockwood". Let us know how many comments you think you've posted in the last 24 hours.

Anyone still believe the bullshit "Moderation doesn't matter" argument?

This discussion was created by Scott Lockwood (218839) for Friends and Friends of Friends only, but now has been archived. No new comments can be posted.

  • I don't understand why we need moderation on journal entry comments, anyways. I see that most of your recent comments have been in journal entries - and it has been suggested before journal entries (and their comments) should be exempt from moderation.

Though also puzzling is that they restrict your posting because of bad karma - yet you need to be able to post in order to bring your karma back up. I wonder if you have just angered the wrong Hyper-conservative slashdot programmer [slashdot.org] and he is taking it out
    • Whatever you do, don't mention Mrs. Pudge's softly scented untrimmed private curlies. Pudge hates that.

      • Mrs. Pudge

I presume you are referring to one of conservatives that run around here servicing him? I can't imagine a woman who would be of such low self-esteem as to tolerate Pudge's complete lack of reality.

        • No, I'm referring to Pudge's actual wife. As far as I can tell, it was some comment I made about her lady parts that got Pudge worked up enough to hunt down my posts, downmod them, and send me into -1 purgatory for two weeks.

          • Pudge's actual wife

That is truly scary, that there is a woman insane enough to marry Pudge. Considering how anti-feminine the hyper-conservative viewpoint (such as his) is, I wouldn't expect it to be easy to find a woman who shares in it.

Part of me wants to ask for proof of the existence of this alleged woman, but I'm not sure the world could handle it.

  • Someone'll throw you some mod point love. I'll keep you in mind if I get some (best use of mod points I've found is to go through friends & fans list and throw mod points at anyone who's posting at less than 2. If any are left over, I then do the same with the freaks list.)
