Journal dedazo's Journal: Amazing sat images of beach before/during/after tsunami 2

I didn't even think this was possible with a satellite. Those are stunning images, especially the one just before the wavefront hits and the sea recedes. Amazing. And the angle and span of the first two pictures at least seem to be identical. The third one is zoomed in.

    It is. The last image was a zoom, but it isn't even close to a close up, by the way.

    I was in that general part of the world when that earthquake hit. Terrible, terrible tragedy.

      Two friends of mine who live in Austria were also on vacation there at the time, though they got to see part of the aftermath only. The thing that they impressed on me was that the whole thing was *far* worse than we got to see over here on TV. Far, far worse.

The brain is a wonderful organ; it starts working the moment you get up in the morning, and does not stop until you get to work.
