    Right on... although it is a bit disconcerting to realize how fast time passes.
    • Yeah. I don't feel like I can be possibly be that much older than the nineteen-year-old infantryman who covered his wall locker with Siouxsie lyrics. Except for the aches and pains and expanding waistline that constantly remind that yes, I am.

    How long were you in for, and do you have any interesting stories to tell from it?
    • Heh. I do have "veteran" buried in the middle of the profile somewhere.

      I was in about nine years. Would have been ten -- one two-year term, two four-year terms -- but when you re-enlist the clock starts over, and I always re-upped well short of my out date. Started out as an Army reserve infantryman, realized that really wasn't for me, and went active duty as an Air Force medic.
