apathy maybe's Journal: Why I have no friends and no foes.

I've just removed all the people I had listed as friends and foes. Why? Simple. Slashdot is big, really big. While there are a few names that I recognise and pay attention to (both 'friends' and 'foes'), there is no way of knowing if that is reciprocal.

Because Slashdot is big, most comments are drowned.

Anyway, I have no attachment to any of my 'friends' or 'foes', except for what little information I have gleaned from their posts. That isn't enough for me to consider them either friends or foes.

I have a journal entry about using signatures (a just as valid methodology as any other when you don't know anyone) to decide whether to go friend or foe, but this isn't really valid. After all, they change. Etc.
