Journal loren's Journal: A good place to start

Hmm... I once tried blogging before: Primarily as an exercise to help me get used to writting every day, so I could finally tackle that English 101 course enroute to my BS. That only lasted a few weeks. So here's attempt 2. Same reason, different day. Don't get any ideas that I care if anyone reads my journal. I'm just doing it as a writing exercise.

So, today I'm planning on going to the computer lab to finish up the homework for a VB course. Yes, I stooped that low. I'm taking a VB course, primarily to get my feet wet so I'm used to taking a class, and having homework again. I figured VB was something I hadn't taken, that I could ace pretty easily. The course-work isn't hard, but it's more tedious than I remembered school being. anyway, I have until Thursday night to finish 1 take home test, and 7 homework assignments. It's getting down to the wire, but I think I still have a chance. Basically I just need to stop being so darn meticulous, and pound them out at a good pace.

I'm also involved in a show at The Camino Real Playhouse called The Homecomming. It's a cute, Christmas show about depression-era Americans. I play Birdshot, who's essentially the village idiot. It's a fun role, and a great cast to work with... This weekend we have our last 4 performances.

Also, I'm looking for work. I've been in the video game industry for 4 years (working at Loki games and Reflexive). It really is a blast, and I hope to stay in the industry. Things are starting to look up, but I feel everybody is doing a bit more pigeon holing these days. Without current 3d or console experience, at the moment, I don't have a chance. So I guess I'll run off and make my own 3d title.

That's all for now...
