Just watched a new TV show called jPod. I *think* it is a Canadian show, at least it is being broadcast on the CBC, and it's located in Canada - but the snazzy production values and the Executive Producer make me wonder.

The show is produced by and based on the novel of the same name by Douglas Coupland, and revolves around a small group of video game programmers working in a company called "Neotronic Arts" in Vancouver.

It actually looks like an interesting, quirky little show - with lots of geekisms...

Do you guys get it too, or is it truly just for us Canucks for now?

It does not appear to air in the Richmond, VA area or the Washing DC Metro area. So, we don't get it in this region, at least.

But then again, I don't often have the television on. I do have a friend who tends to notice shows like that (he was a big fan of John From Cincinnati, a very quirky and interesting show), though, so maybe he will know. I do remember seeing the book, and thinking that it might be an interesting read. I will look for the show.

from what I can tell it is cbc only - and that means there are probably torrents out there too. so I may see if I can scrounge up an episode and check it out.
