I find it interesting reading the blog posts, and seeing the few folks who insist that "science and religion don't mix". Complaining that this piece "elevates myth" and "degrades science". Some of them seem to be defending agnosticism and atheism with a rather religious fervor, as if any attempt to shed a different sort of light on their views is a personal attack....

Don't worry... I may have made an asshole move (I still think it was quite innocent), but I'm right and they're wrong. My presence is clearly not desired there anymore.

If this thread for some reason starts about it for some reason again... I'll be forced to delete this journal. I hope you understand.

Understood. As I said, I'm not really interested in the circumstances. It just seemed appropriate to express some good wishes.
