cybermage's Journal: Lieberman Says Iran Has Declared War

Independent Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman has issued a statement saying that he believes that Iran has declared war on the U.S. He cites a report from the American Forces Press Service regarding Iran's involvement in the Iraqi insurgency as his justification.

The Armed Forces story claims that the Iranian military's Qud Force is sending money and weapons into Iraq.

Lieberman, in a statement had this to say:

"Although no one desires a conflict with Iran, the fact is that the Iranian government by its actions has declared war on us..."

"These revelations should be a wake-up call to the United States about the threat posed by the Islamic Republic of Iran as well as a reminder why Iraq is, in fact, the central front of the global war on terror."
