Thanks for looking me up.

I am a Ph.d student in rhetoric & composition at Purdue University. My focus is the intersections of classical sophistic rhetoric [re: not Plato or Aristotle], postmodern philosophy [especially Levinas & Derrida], and digital media. In a sentence: I think the emergence of digital technologies counters the Platonic / Cartesian notion of "I think, therfore I am," offering instead a non-individualized conception of the individual: we are all connected and composed through our connections.

When not dissertating or tooling around the internet, I keep a blog in which I discuss technology, cybernetics, web design, intellectual property law, ethics, Boston sports, video games, and, occassionally, my dogs. Agonism welcome.
