Journal SPAM: Doesn't Matter If Hillary Apologizes for Her Iraq War Vote 9

Scott Ritter:

Let there be no doubt that Hillary Clinton is about as slippery a species of politician that exists, one who has demonstrated an ability to morph facts into a nebulous blob which blurs the record and distorts the truth. While she has demonstrated this less than flattering ability on a number of issues, nowhere is it so blatant as when dealing with the issue of the ongoing war in Iraq and Hillary Clinton's vote in favor of this war.

Doesn't Matter If Hillary Apologizes for Her Iraq War Vote

  • I don't like her and I won't vote for her. She is slippery, amoral and entirely lacking in convictions. She has none of her husband's charm or soul. Her voting record is abominable for a Democrat. In a Hillary/McCain race, I'd vote for McCain.

And Obama, he has no record. He's far too inexperienced to be president. The Democrats are really setting themselves up for another failure in the next election.

Why isn't anyone talking about Richardson? Hispanics vote more than African-Americans in general, it's a sim

Richardson running is a win/win for us; if he gets elected great, if not he can keep being our governor :-)

Her outright support of the war is my biggest gripe against Hillary, and it will keep her from getting elected. Period. I used to tolerate McCain much more, though lately it seems like he is weasling around more too :-( Now even as a pretty solid liberal voter, I have to admit that this guy [wikipedia.org] is interesting (and doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell of getting the republican nomination of course). Thats one of the reasons I think Richardson would be a good choice as running mate (heck they could even switch up and go the other way, though Obama probably has better name recognition at this point); not only has Richardson had a big positive impact on NM as governor, but he even has negotiating skills [pbs.org]. I do admit I would be sorry to see him leave the governorship, but it would be worth it if he can improve things for the country
        • Back in '00, a big fuss was made about Bush's lack of experience (and his lack of knowledge, and general lack of any qualifications at all), and it didn't seem to make much of a difference, the guy was elected, and the consequences were disasterous.

All very true, but it didn't help that he also came across as a pampered imbecile.
    • I think that you're wrong to count Obama as too inexperienced. The phrase rings hollow when you think of that terrible things that very experienced administrators have done to our country. In particular, I'm thinking of folks who worked for Dick Nixon and for Bush Sr. and are now vp. And also, I'm convinced that Hilary is mostly funded by Republicans. She's totally unelectable.
      • I still think that Obama deserves the 86. He dares and show up in Selma, like Hillary - turning the anniversary into nothing more than a campaign stop. He talks so sweetly aout his grandpa, but offers no material evidence of support beyond this sentimentality.

He has visibly pledged more support for Israel than New Orleans. He is a traitor, like the rest.
        • He's a politician - and the first rule is that anyone who wants to run the country is too power-hungry to be trusted with it.

Why not pick a group of 12 people at random, and have them rule the country for 4 years, like we pick people for jury duty. At the end of 4 years, they're either ALL re-elected or ALL dumped in favor of 12 more random people. At least this way you're getting people who are closer to "the people" and the chance of any 1 individual "lining their pockets" or going ape-sh*t power-mad
