Journal dexterpexter's Journal: Multiply 8

Unless the 'Terms of Use' change at Multiply, I do not believe that I will be joining you folks. I may change my mind in the future, of course, but in the meantime I plan to remain at the 'Dot.

Additionally, while it appears that I have not submitted anything to Livejournal in well over a year, I suppose I should also start frequenting that account again, so please feel free to friend me and I will return the gesture, as most of my posts tend to be Friends-Only. However, I imagine that the bulk of my attentions will be spent on Slashdot, however deserted it may become.

For those of you who are leaving permanently, I wish you the best of luck; it is a shame to see you go. Don't be shy about sending an occasional email to let me know how you're doing.

  • Ooooh. Taking a random guess at your LJ username (which really wasn't that hard), it seems that half of my Slashdot friends are over there too. At the moment, I keep the two worlds separate, and I'm not entirely sure I want to mix the two, but I'll give it some thought.

I, too, will not be going to Multiply any time soon.

    • Well, I have a separate account setup over there specifically for slashdotters. ;) Also consider that you can setup filters for your journals, even on the free account. I have a slashdot filter setup on that account, and also one for my zombie site. Each set of "friends" would see something different, that is if that account had very many friends. hah.

And I am glad that I will get to enjoy your company here!
  • I will not be moving wholesale anywhere, and will be maintaining a presence here on /. for the foreseeable future. Yeah, there is the Multiply account and the LJ account, but there is also a place for the /. account.

  • I am planning to participate both here and over on Multiply. There are enough people that have not moved that make it worthwhile to stick around.
