Journal NFLFan's Journal: NFL 2006: Wild Card 2

This is the time of the year that every football fan loves. The good games will probably be on Saturday-- those games could go either way. I am more confident in my picks for the Sunday games but those are divisional grudge matches! So I expect at least 2 great games this weekend.

I still need to tally my results for the season. I really want to but I have been too busy. I think I can get around to it sometime this weekend.

Saturday, Jan. 6
Kansas City at Indianapolis 4:30 pm
I like the Colts. I almost picked the Chiefs here. Yes, this the time when the Colts have to prove themselves.

Dallas at Seattle 8:00 pm
I like the Cowboys. Both of these teams are struggling but it is the injuries to the Seattle defense that have me worried.

Sunday, Jan. 7
N.Y. Jets at New England 1:00 pm
I like the Patriots. I would love to pick the Jets here but I just do not see it happening. The Patriots have the swagger alone to get through a wild card game.

N.Y. Giants at Philadelphia 4:30 pm
I like the Eagles. Too much has to happen for the Giants to win. They would have to overcome being the Giants basically.

That is hilarious and insightful. My own picks are Chiefs, Seahawks, Eagles, and Jets. I know it doesn't seem likely, but I think the Jets are going to scrum one away from the Patriots. Like a 13-7 kind of day. The dice said differently, however, and I will hopefully be able to post those results this afternoon after trial.

I do not think the Giants ever really recovered from that nasty playoff lost against the Panthers last year. They seem more concerned with pointing their fingers and blaming teammates than they are about winning.

I would love for the Jets to win but I just don't see it happening. I just think Jets are over-achievers and not likely to have an impact in the playoffs regardless of what team they play.
