Fast Lane Option for Getting Pass the Airport Security Lines. http://www.fastlaneoption.com/ by http://www.saflink.com/index.html FLO Overview Registered Traveler (RT) is a program designed by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to improve the security screening process at U.S. airports. The program has two important goals: 1. Reduce long waits in airport security lines caused by heightened security screening measures implemented after the September 11 terrorist attacks. 2. Provide a better way to target security resources to those travelers who might pose greater security risks. With Registered Traveler, pre-screened members present a card that allows them to use "fast lane" security checkpoints in participating airports. The centerpiece of the program is a secure ID card that uses biometrics to verify the user's identity. Biometrics prevent the card from being used by unauthorized persons. Passengers can enroll in the Registered Traveler program for a modest fee. TSA tested Registered Traveler in 2005 and is prepared for an additional rollout of the program in 10 to 20 airports in the second half of 2006. TSA is also exploring options to expand the program to airports nationwide in 2007. Introducing FLO(TM) : An innovative version of Registered Traveler Working closely with industry stakeholders, the FLO Alliance is launching the FLO(TM) Card, an innovative version of Registered Traveler. The biometrically secured FLO card allows qualified individuals to take advantage of expedited security screening procedures at designated Registered Traveler lanes as well as promotional offers and discounts offered by retail partners. The FLO Alliance system has the ability to conduct background checks, issue cards, and expedite security screening for millions of air travelers as the program expands nationwide.
