Aloriel's Journal: Spanish newsgroup registers the word "blog"

At the spanish office of patents and brands has been registered the word "BLOG" with number of expedient #M 2715026. Right now the word is popular in spain since we usually don't translate it. The word has been registered in two classes web pages and events which means a wide area such as all related with internet, communications and all kind of events.

To find the registered name, go to the search page and write "blog" in the first input field, then press the button "Localizar" and the brand is one of the lastest.

The group Sogecable is the owner of one of the most important newspapers in Spain, El País, a TV channel, also takes part on the digital television (Digital+) and has a radio station.
