Journal Chacham's Journal: Modded down to -1 7

Woohoo! Have to do it now and then. The story writer of this story made the silly mistake of repeating the same phrase twice. So, I poked fun at it with this comment.

Eh, some people have no humour. Worst of it is, that the meta-moderator won't see what I was trying to poke fun at.

Anyone got two points to waste on me? :-)

  • You know the Slashbot Groupthinkniks have no sense of humor. The nuances of your post were wasted on the unwashed. I have spent my points, otherwise you would be redeemed.
  • and to top it off, it seems that there are a lot of moderators, drunk with "power" who would rather mod someone down for some nitpick than find an insightful comment to bring up from the ashes.

Whatever. Its for this reason that I frequently get into fights with moderators. I usually end up with less karma but with more satisfaction!
(and a fair amount of profanity just for fun)

But there are usually enough mods who CAN find the humor in things. This was just not your day. I hope a journal peruser with some spare points can vindicate you.

      >less karma!

      >more filling!

Remind me next time I have more mod points. You'll get some.
      • screw the karma- the day I hit the kap I hit "PRINT SCREEN" and kissed those days of whoring goodbye.

No more insightful posts. No more drawing parallels to good lessons of history. No more angling previous posts that were +5 with my comments (the ever classic hitchiking your way to karma), no more "Can I be the first one to post this joke?", no more "Geez, wives do the darndest things!" comedy posts, no more actually trying to read the article and explain what it means to everyone else, and no more scouring the tech section of the Washington Post so I could submit a story that sounded cool enough and get accepted (yep. it happened).

From here on out it's just profanity and toilet humor from the mekka!
  • You posted in a Michael Sims article. As anybody knows, Michael likes to mod down everything and anything he doesn't like no matter the reason. In this sense, moderation is used not to promote better discussion, but as a weapon to punish.

Heh. It would seem that those with power usually abuse it.
