This is why a pure democracy is impossible and why our forefathers gave us a republic with a system of checks and balances. The vast majority of slashdotters are immature nerds who, feeling guilt over how easy life has been for them and over how little they really deserve, will lie to themselves about how everyone is really worse than they are. They are gradually and systematically tearing apart the society that makes it possible for them to have good things whether they earn it or not. While it would m
