sir_montag's Journal: Digital Cameras Rock My World

Digital cameras rock my world. My old camera died about a year ago. I recently was able to afford a new one though, and it is incredible. It's not a DSLR sadly, but it's as good as you can get without being one. The camera in question is a Canon PowerShot A620. It has wonderful macro (1cm - in other words, you can get a clear picture of something that's 1cm away from the lens), manual focus, aparture and many other excellent features. The articulating screen (it rotates away from the back of the camera, and you can view it in just about any position - think of taking a picture of yourself and being able to see the LCD at the same time) is far handier than I would have thought.

Understanding quality over quantity has become a little harder with this camera - with my old one, I was fairly limited in what I could do with it, so I had to be choosey - and with the new one, it's quite the opposite. Artistic integrity, har har.
