Longtime (5+ years? - I forget) slashdot lurker; I posted my first comment today on a poll at a whim and promptly got a troll moderation. So I just figured I'd say hi an hopefully people won't think I'm a complete peon. I use XP and Mac OS X, my first computer was a Mac Plus, and I have limited *nix experience, most of which was from my teen years when I had a dialup shell account and played MUDs all day long.

I enjoy R.E.M., reading, RPGs, and all things PC related. I recently installed DD-WRT on my new router and I'm slowly but surely learning its advanced features. I am completely self taught but someday would like to go back to school and get away from all these damn pyramid building jobs.
