Journal sowth's Journal: Difference between pc2100 and pc2100A RAM? 3
I know no one reads this, but does anyone know the difference between PC2100 and PC2100A / PC2100B RAM? It is for a A7N266-C motherboard computer I found in the dumpster--don't ask
If anyone bothers to read this and replies, thank you in advance.

I did bother to read. I do not, however, the answer. The Wikipedia article [wikipedia.org] has no answer either. Sorry...

Thank you for your reply Master Shark. The Wikipedia article is interesting, I don't know why I didn't think to look there. No direct answer, but now I'm thinking the A/B variants are just higher clock speeds.
Now I suppose the question is: what site is good for buying RAM (and a video card) in North America? Somehow CompUSA doesn't seem to be the best choice, and my old supplier (AccessMicro) seems to be taken over by a search engine spammer...

Ah, for that last question I have an answer. Go to Kahlon.com [kahlon.com]. Nice prices, highly compatible. They even have hard to get RAM (at least for my side of the ponds). It's a bitch to order there as a European, but they were nice and friendly and very cooperative. Last time I bought 3Gig PC2100 Registred ECC RAM. Something that cost 400€/Gig here. They had it for 100$/Gig and then shipping becomes really insignificant. Now, my desktop had 4Gig, and no glitches at all.
Just a happy customer :-
