Anyway, I'm curious as to what you mean by "military freaks" given that I've been a soldier (in one form or another) my entire adult life, and as you can see by my UID, I've been around here awhile.

My previous journal rant was about common trends on Slashdot, because of my often metamoderation I noticed a significant culture shift of modders in past two years. Comments with content critical to military (and several other specific topics) are much more often downmodded than real trolls or idiots. I strongly doubt this, especially from a military source. Western democracies are all afraid of their militaries

An example of a typical post I am just metamodding Flamebait Unfair is this one #15337442 [slashdot.org]. It's currently 60% Insightful 20% Flamebait 10% Interesting, so at least 2 people modded it down for some reason.
As I said, I noticed that being quite methodical.

It's not *outrageous*, and I agree with the sentiment, but it *is* walking the flamebait line pretty closely.
And furthermore... it is currently rated +5 - so it isn't like the "censorship", if it existed, is working very well.
