milimetric's Journal: growing up?

As a student, I want to contribute, make a difference, use the unbelievable good luck that has catapulted me into my position to share wealth with those that are willing to fight for freedom of body and mind.

As a grown up, I can feel the same thing happen to me that I once scoffed at when I noticed it happen to others. I am hardening, growing apathetic, the world is callous, people are evil, uncaring. Why help such people? We blow things up, kill, rape, abuse, and a few good things. I imagine that I'll either be broken by this apathy or I will find the strength to fight out of it. I do pray that I have the wisdom to know who my real friends are.
