Just what I always wanted!

(Hat tip to Perfessor Multigeek, but I did come up with the "pure...satisfaction" part.)

To quote Rustin, "I don't need to explain this. All I need to say is, 'It's desktop fusion,' and we're done." It's real, and at RPI and UCLA, no less. The RPI press release even has a picture, which you all should see.

It delivers a 200 000 EV wallop, which would probably require a stepdown converter for domestic use, but hey, I can get one of those at the surplus place...

Pardon me, what tech level are we at again?

on hte spiffiness scale... .this is clearely off the charts. I hope there isn't a pattent on "Mr. Fusion" because that would be a near perfect term.

There probably isn't a patent or a trademark, but the people who came up with the term for the third Back to the Future movie could probably add to their collective zillions by negotiating licensing agreements now...

I haven't RTFA yet, but an electron volt [wikipedia.org] is not a big wallop. Electron volts should not be confused with our usual "volt" of electricity.
