If one were to kill an alien. An alien with a basic structure that was not carbon or protein based. And then, if one were to eat the alien, would one be eating meat?

meat is loosely defined as "flesh eaten for nourishment". Flesh, in turn, is " the body parts composed chiefly of skeletal muscle with accompanying fat and connective tissues"*

As long as the alien you were eating had "soft tissues", you could probably call it meat.
