If one were to kill an alien. An alien with a basic structure that was not carbon or protein based. And then, if one were to eat the alien, would one be eating meat?

  • meat is loosely defined as "flesh eaten for nourishment". Flesh, in turn, is " the body parts composed chiefly of skeletal muscle with accompanying fat and connective tissues"*

    As long as the alien you were eating had "soft tissues", you could probably call it meat.
