Yay! I am pregnant! I couldn't be happier, except maybe if morning sickness would actually end at noon instead of making me feel wretched all day... but it's always morning somewhere, I guess.

I'm so excited, I just want to spend all day in the store looking at baby stuff. Only 8 months of incubation left to go!

  • At least the morning sickness tends to taper off in the second trimester!
    • Thanks! I certainly hope the morning sickness eases up sooner rather than later... it is hard to think of spending another 2 months like this. My mother told me she was sick a full 9 months with me, so I can only hope that isn't hereditary!
      • I think you're safe on that account, most of the time even the same woman will feel completely different from one pregnancy to the next. With my last one during one particularly horrible weekend I begged my husband to take me into the backyard and put me out of my misery LOL but with the pregnancy I'm currently in I had one day where I felt sick and have breezed through the rest. They're both boys too so you'd think the pregnancies would be alike but nope!

        It helps a lot to eat small meals fairly often and

  • Having a little one is the most amazing thing!

    If you want some advice from a recent Dad, (my son turned 2 in August), it would be: You should probably start right in on the prenatal vitamins, and snag a copy of What to Expect... [amazon.com] first off. In a few months you're going to have want to have read:

    • the Owners Manual [amazon.com]
    • Healthy Sleep Habits.. [amazon.com] People who Ought to Know Better (your parents, daycare workers, etc.) have NO IDEA how sleep actually works, and will tell you counterproductive, evil things like "keep
