Journal Omestes's Journal: Of Buddhist /.ing 2

I've decided to befriend all of my freaks. This seems to be the Buddhist thing to do. I shall also remove all of my foes.

Actually it isn't about the Buddhist thing, it just seems like a really silly thing to do. I'd reccomend that everyone does the same. Do we really need foes and freaks? Its not like I even have a +/- attatched to any of them, since I might want to see what they have to say.

  • Click a button and you're buddies? Well, I suppose it's a start. But the real "Buddhist thing to do" would be to quit hating on Bush and capitalism. Hating anything is "attachment", not to mention psychologically corrosive. Tell you what, you commit to an open mind, and I'll un-foe you.

      I am not a fan of the uber-libertarianism prevelant on /., as that I do not find it viable, but I do think that capitalism in an inevitable and integral element of our society, this does not make it all good, though (or all bad, to avoid the excluded middle). I don't think that blind acceptance of capitalism is the answer either, in that there are flaws in the system as it stands, and no once can deny that.
