P.S. for some of you who still don't "get" links - when you create a link on slashdot to something on slashdot, take off the http://slashdot.org part in the front so that people who are using https:// don't get kicked out of the secure site when they click your link.

Funny. I've been getting annoyed at people linking to slashdot with https:// because then I get a bunch of permission dialogs for the browser to use something other than port 80.

  yeah, but if you completely eliminate the protocol in the URL (something I didn't think about till now) you can browse insecurely and ignorantly at port 80 and those paranoid among us (including me) can browse relatively safely. ;) you won't get the nasty little warning messages!

There is something I don't "get" though. What is 'gh-sts'? Is it a car reference I am unaware of (there are quite a few)? Or is it 'ghosts' with the o missing? That doesn't seem like something the_mad_poster would use, so I'm pretty sure I'm wrong there. Just curious. Kind of like I used to be curious about what KMFDM meant back in the 80s.
