On the existence of (a) God

  • Your remarks in regards to how we react to certain things made me think of the C.S. Lewis autobiography, "Surprised By Joy". He discusses moments throughout his life where he is struck by this certain sense of something awesome, something greater. He calls those moments Joy. He ends up concluding that these moments are signposts to what it will be like to be liberated from our current limitations and experience God fully.

    Personally, I believe in something, though I prefer not to anthropomorphize it. Something I really don't understand, though, are deeply religious people, who believe that their worldview is the final word on everything. In today's global society, one can see all sorts of seemingly disparate belief systems. With
