This doesn't really have anything to do with Networking.

I'm just a little annoyed with my company right now. When a server that I need to get my work done will be down, it's nice to know. If it's an emergency situation and it gets fixed quickly, that's fine if I'm not the first to know. But when it's scheduled, and scheduled for the time I come in in the morning, it would be nice if I could be informed.

I can't imagine that most people's companies would be so dumb as not to inform employees of scheduled downtime during work hours.
