Subject: banned, eh?

"Due to excessive bad posting from this IP or Subnet, comment posting has
temporarily been disabled. If it's you, consider this a chance to sit in the
timeout corner . If it's someone else, this is a chance to hunt them down.
If you think this is unfair, please email moderation@slashdot.org with your
MD5'd IPID and SubnetID, which are "81547b80f9ec4f81718926181ed23461" and
"d35c65eca400824cf6e0b1a505329412" and (optionally, but preferably) your IP
number "70.69.241.161" and your username "theantix"."

No offense, but I've been a user for slashdot for a long time, but is this
what it's come to now? I correct a post that says that IronPython was made
incompatible with Microsoft and link to the _author_ of the key book on Mono
backing me up. Then I challenge a person who has repeatedly spammed every
list he can get ahold of with his "autopackage" idea despite being rejected
by several leading distributions on their respective mailing lists. And for
that I'm banned from posting to slashdot for "excessive bad posting"?

I mean fine, it's not a big deal, and I'll live just fine without it. I'm
shocked that this site has become so hostile to ideas... if you don't want
me anymore I'm fine by that. Gotta question the direction you're taking the
site in though -- but I respect that you no long want my comments and I'll
refrain from posting there in the future. Have a nice day and all that.

Cheers,
-rt-
