Holy crap-- I hit the upper limit on the number of relationships.

I tried to add Branden Robinson the Debian leader because he listened to my comments in this discussion. But this action brought me to the 200-relationship limit, and got the following message:

You have over 200 friends and foes at the moment.

This puts you over our limit of 200 relationships that we allow. At this point you may only remove relationships with users.

So do you want to remove your relationship with Overfiend?

I don't want to de-friend people, so I guess I'll start de-foe people. It's better to encourage your friends then to punish your foes.

I think that subscribers get double the limit, but I could be wrong.

  Yeah that is one of the reasons I subscribed, plus I wanted to dig through my (and other people's) old comments. Not sure why, since I don't really have time, but whatever. Now I am wondering what happens if I don't subscribe again, will slashdot automatically unfriend me down to 200 friends?

    I've wondered that myself. Since I have not seen any *very* heated bitching about it, I can only assume that it's handled somewhat gracefully. I'll know in a few months, I suppose.

I also don't want to defriend people. I decided to remove people, both friends and foes, who haven't done much recently. I sometimes use the, "keep only JE(Journal entry) people." I do remove many foes but an inactive friend also.
I do foe people who so obviously create gibberish, my ideal at at least, as so to not see it. I then set foes adjustment to -1.
