Will there be some sort of automated reminder closer to time? I'm interested, but forgetful. A Facebook event would help, for example.

I thought about doing it this way but then a conundrum presented itself: how do I validate that people are who they say they are? So I've constructed a cool proof-of-identity protocol! I'll start by selecting two random [xkcd.com] ...

Rifftrax Birdemic the night before
I wish I had noticed this snippet a few weeks ago. I looked up Birdemic tonight...from work...and realized that I'd probably be leaving work and driving by my local theater just in time for movie-goers to be walking to their cars. :)
Oh well. Hopefully someone will pirate it and put it up on the interblag

I wish I had noticed this snippet a few weeks ago. I looked up Birdemic tonight...from work...and realized that I'd probably be leaving work and driving by my local theater just in time for movie-goers to be walking to their cars. Oh well. Hopefully someone will pirate it and put it up on the interblag :)
For immediate pleasure, you can find the full video on Youtube [youtube.com] (not sure how that copyright works but apparently it's generating interest) and you can buy the (old) MP3 commentary for $4 to play with it [rifftrax.com]. However, if you can wait, they end up selling all their Live events on VOD and DVD (for example, here's House on Haunted Hill [rifftrax.com], another Fathom event I went to). TBH I usually just hoof it when I'm in DC, or come into the city at off-times where parking is more readily available.

The Blue Line ended up getting delayed a bit on my way home as they had tapered down to single rails at points, but nothing catastrophic happened.
