Paper is wonderful stuff. You can print on it, fold it into interesting shapes and things, even use it for sanitary purposes and for starting fires. But using it for money has just always been a *very* bad idea....

Forgot to mention, new record for me paying for "normal times" road fuel yesterday going to get the new mower, paid 4 bucks a gallon for diesel. Dropped a solid benjamin for around 3/4ths of a tank on the F450....my previous high still rules, ten bucks a gallon for two gallons during the OPEC crisis. My all time low was 12.9 cents for gas, filled my 62 Falcon tank for two bucks and change....of course I only made a buck ten an hour then....and I remember how cool it was to get that dime raise....

..and walmart does NOT carry one like this! Boss took pity on my sorry butt with the old stuff and got me a new mower (finish mowers, we have regular big bush hog stuff already). I mean *dang* these run what a mid range SUV costs... it's the dee-luxe F3680 model with the big deck, ROPS, and hydraulic bagger/dumper(just that attachment costs more than most used cars I ever had), three cylinder diesel. I mean...shazzam...snazzy... Drove it a little bit today, cuts *just fine*, mass quantities cutting. Last night he goes, "need you to go to the tractor place over yonder (several counties away), get the flatbed and the fifth wheel lowbed trailer and chains, you'll need it, stop by the shop first and get the check"..

OK, I know the regular driver dude is out, so I'm sorta free. I ask "what we getting? " He says "a surprise, you'll see".
