No, it's just terrible. Better to have no computer at all than deal with the bullshit involved with a Mac desktop.

So how is that different from any other Apple product? Last thing I ever want to do after using a Mac is use one again.
OS X is an awful desktop. Ironically, Windows 8 actually does a lot of the stupid shit that makes OS X so awful, but in a much less awful manner.
So you feel inferior when talking to people who are less delusional than you? How is that their fault?
Where's the ambiguity?
I don't see what the big deal is with the WIndows 8 interface. In practice I've found it virtually identical to Windows 7, only it handles tearing off browser tabs into new windows better and instead of the "Start menu" it displays the "Start screen" for the single second it takes me to type "snip" and strike Enter.
After using it for a month or so at work I have to assume those complaining about it have either never used it or are complete morons, because none of the complains make any sense otherwise.
You never have Internet outages? Comcast craps out on me at least once a year for a few hours to a day. It's certainly caused more downtime for my Chromebook than any problems on Google's end.
How is there even a question here? Google Reader.
What part of having separate viewing panes for the article and the headline list do you think is like what I described? Even if that weren't the case, Evolution is going to lack the cloud-based syncing that I find mandatory _and_ involves entanglement with GNOME garbage. Both deal breakers. The user experience of Outlook tied to a single local computer is hardly what anyone should want from an RSS reader.
I stand corrected. That's awesome! I'll definitely be looking into that, thanks.
What if they're addiction is to city building games and the bump they get from the last Anno has started to diminish from overuse?
But you're never going to get the relative consistency and convenience of Google Reader out of a self-hosted solution. At least not if you care about having mobile access and hate the idea of using a mobile web browser for access it.
