+ - Why Rowling can't stop the Harry Potter Lexicon->

uruk-hai5 writes "Tim Wu, professor of law at Columbia Law School, has written an interesting article on why J.K. Rowling will be unable to stop the publishing of the paper version of the Harry Potter Lexicon. From the article: 'There is a necessary and healthy line between what the initial author owns and what follow-on, or "secondary," authors get to do, and Rowling is running over that line like the Hogwarts Express.[...]She has confused the adaptations of a work, which she does own, with discussion of her work, which she doesn't.'"
