So, let me get this straight.... the only thing that used to stop the issues with Capitalism was the government stepping in, but it's socialist if the government stops companies now so we can't do that... That's some fine logic there. :D

Are you sure it's a socialist police state? You know you can have capitalist police states. They call those fascist. You should look up that word. It's important. "Fascist movements shared certain common features, including the veneration of the state, a devotion to a strong leader, and an emphasis on ultranationalism and militarism. Fascism views political violence, war, and imperialism as a means to achieve national rejuvenation" from Wikipedia.

You need to read more history. You specifically need to read more history about the robber barons and the crash of '29. It might start looking familiar to you.... huge monopolies, too big to fail, no regulation.... You might also look up the Glas-Steagal act and see that we didn't have any large financial problems until it was repealed.

You might also connect government corruption with WHO is paying them, and start to wonder why all those capitalists paying your government are aiming for a socialist state that would put them out of business. Hint: They're Not.

Yay! Be afraid! Look, for any virus to infect you have to have a decent viral payload and a path of infection. I don't give a !@#$ if they found Ebola can live in blood for several days. Don't touch any !@#$ing blood!

The main issue in Africa is a lack of hospitals and infrastructure. People stay home. They bleed out of their everything all over the sheets. Their family is touching them while they do it, because they care about the victims. They touch the sheets to wash them... in their drinking water with no gloves. It's not a surprise they're having a problem. It's not due to Ebola being super contagious. It's because they're doing it all wrong.

If you're worried about Ebola, don't touch any bodily fluids and wash your hands frequently. Try to avoid getting any cuts on your hands. And don't rub your !@#$ eyes. Problem solved. If you're super worried, stock up on rubber gloves and rubbing alcohol. Perhaps some goggles if you're just stupid paranoid.

But seriously, why do you people NEED to have a world ending emergency? It's like you're looking forward to a Mad Max scenario. It's like you NEED to have something to be afraid of. Ah! The stock market is crashing! Ah! Obama's not a US citizen! Ah! The value of the dollar is going into hyperinflation! Ah! Ebola! Ah! Government takeover! Benghazi!!!!

Ebola and HIV spread through pretty much the exact same pathways: blood, semen, etc. Of course, generally, the Ebola victims are bleeding through their eyeballs, so there's that...

As for the incubation period, they're not contagious until they're showing symptoms. Ebola is not really that contagious. Don't lick anyone. If someone is bleeding out of their eyeballs, don't touch the blood. If you do, don't rub your eyes. If someone in their incubation period walks through a mall, it's pretty safe. It's when they run a fever and start vomiting all over the floor that you've got a problem.

Private insurance doesn't want to treat every headache and fever that comes in. This is the sort of thing where a public Single Payer insurance system (note, insurance, not the hospital itself) would be a good thing. But, you know, socialism.....

This story is a legitimate chance for anti-GWers to crow a little bit. (sort of). We have something here, by a reputable source (NASA) that has revealed a tough question. We thought the deep ocean was warming. It turns out it isn't. We were using that as a sink for the heat to explain the recent pause in the global warming. Shit... This makes us search for some answers.

This is science working. It's also NASA saying "hey, wait a minute", which You People always seem to say never happens. It's also STILL saying that the oceans are warming, just not the deep oceans. It also says the deep oceans are REALLY hard to measure, so perhaps it's wrong. We'll see.

So, yeah, Anti-GWers, this was your moment to shine. This was your moment to crow. Instead CppDeveloper decided to make an ignorant comment about CO2 being plant food. Yes. We knew that. Thanks. You're about 20 years behind on your Stupid Anti-GWing statements. We know CO2 is plant food. We know plants absorb it. That's kind of the point of oil. It's a nicely balanced system and we have been A. releasing millions of years of Stored In Plants CO2 inside 200 years and B. cutting down rain forest for beef farms at the same time. We've hashed out your stupid statement years ago. You need to update...

Fossil fuels are quite literally millions of years of stored CO2 from dead plants.... And you release it in this HUGE surge in just 200 years... We KNOW CO2 is a greenhouse gas. We know it prevents us from radiating heat back out into space. This is not disputed..

A simple Wolfram Alpha search will tell you global mean temperatures, and show you the data sources so you can investigate them better.

How do you people keep insisting nothing is going on? The excuses keep changing. "It's not warming. Ok, it is, but it's solar! Ok, it's not solar, but it's not man made.... It's natural cycles!
