+ - What if slashdot readers wrote the law?

unkiereamus (1061340) writes "Almost everytime there is a Slashdot story about one piece of legislation or another, there are some comments posted which essentially boil down to "This is what happens when people with no understanding of technology try to regulate it." Which leads me to wonder, What would happen if people with a good understanding of technology were to attempt to regulate it?

If you were a legislator, what laws would you write, be it about patent/copyright reform, net neutrality, elimination of child porn or any of the hundreds (thousands?) of other technology subjects which bear legislation?"

How many QA engineers does it take to screw in a lightbulb? 3: 1 to screw it in and 2 to say "I told you so" when it doesn't work.
