And I am very excited to see they want to use this for 'learning'. Great, 'learning' from an offline dump of Wikipedia. What's going to happen when hundreds of thousands of children in developing nations get a dump with some vandalism in it? Will they learn that George W. Bush is the spawn of some underworld creature, or Barack Obama is an Islamic terrorist born in Kenya? How will they respect the British elite military frogmen when they believe them to be half-men half-frog creatures that live in the sea?

As the Saturnian moon Prometheus dashes through the gas giant's rings, it leaves large formations of ice behind, some as large as 12 kilometers in diameter. When the small moon makes another pass, it is not known whether these giant "snowballs" remain or get destroyed, but according to Linda Spilker, from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory: "You can think of Saturn's rings as miniature versions of the disks where planets form. The same physical processes are occurring.""

An anonymous reader writes "Remember when DICE placated Battlefield: Bad Company 2 as being better because it had dedicated servers? While it still may have dedicated servers (that are hosted by EA's partners), it appears that there will be no new map packs until Bad Company 2: Vietnam is released later this year for $30 and includes 4 maps. Quite naturally players are up in arms over it because there are still bugs that haven't been removed since the game was released back in March. That's too bad since Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2 were excellent games for their time."
