+ - Lunar orbiter images Apollo landing sites->

Submitted by theycallmeB
theycallmeB (606963) writes "Today NASA released a series of images from the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) showing 5 of 6 Apollo moon landing sites. Though the LRO has not yet reached its final orbit around the moon there is still a fair amount of detail in the images, including a path left by the Apollo 14 astronauts. Coming just three days before the 40th anniversary of the first Moon landing, these pictures are a nice treat. In case of slashdotting, CNET has also has a shortened article here."
