stoolpigeon's Journal: El Clásico 5
19:30 tonight - Sport 1 here in Hungary. Stayed up way, way too late (early?) last night to watch the Penguins and Flyers - but it was worth it. Go Pens!
I need to find out what time the match actually starts tonight. There is this unfortunate trend where the TV listings give me a start time that isn't the start of the athletic event but the start of coverage. And watching a bunch of guys in suits talk about soccer in Hungarian for a couple hours doesn't do a lot for me. If I spoke Hungarian, I still wouldn't watch it.
Speaking of sports, I get 5 sports channels - 3 Hungarian and 2 Eurosport (which is dubbed over in Hungarian). They show some crazy (to American me) stuff - especially on Eurosport. Ping pong, foosball, curling, ski jumping, snooker, darts, etc. It's pretty funny. I'm sure it's not funny to the people who like those sports but it cracks me up. The Hungarian channels show some interesting stuff too but mostly soccer, basketball, handball and of course water polo. They do show American Football and I'm thankful for that.
Doing some Python stuff today - looking forward to the match tonight. I cannot complain.
Snooker is funny (Score:2)
After a couple pints, and you go all "Mystery Science Theatre".

I can watch it for about 5 minutes - but I don't have the slightest idea what is going on - so then I move on. But even if I knew the rules, like I do with 8 ball - I still don't think I'd watch. But the scenario you describe will work for a lot of spectator events.

That was impressive.

Yeah, it turned up elsewhere and then I saw this so I just couldn't resist.
