Just in time for the American Taliban© propaganda movie 'Expelled' which is appearing in theaters, Michael Shermer (and others) have discussed what is wrong with both the movie and the whole ID movement and its attempts to paint itself and its supporters as victims.

But ID isn't science. It is concerning itself with the realm beyond which we can test, ergo, its not important. I don't think evolution is saying that God could not ahve started it, it is simply reporting what we have observed, and how we think it is best explained. Maybe a Supreme Being did start it all- if so, that still doesn't change the observations or mechanisms by which God laid out His Creation. Interesting to talk about- just not in the "Science" building.

Correct. ID is not science as it attempts to claim an unknown, unknowable, untestable being has designed things the way they are.

It is concerning itself with the realm beyond which we can test, ergo, its not important.

But it is important because the folks pushing ID want others to believe it is scientific in its approach when quite clearly it is not. As I, and others, have repeatedly said: show some scientific evidence to support the claim that ID is science. No one, not
