I sometimes code to RATM, RHCP or SOAD if I'm cranking out boilerplate or otherwise "easy" code. Other times I groove to some Jazz (Coltrane, Mingus, Rollins, Miles, etc.) or downtempo or acid jazz (I especially like http://www.etherbeat.com/) if I have to think about what I'm doing. Sometimes I code in silence if I really have to concentrate.
