This begs a couple of questions:
Why did BN miss this?
If BN decides the app business is too much trouble and walks away, what happens to the DRM-protected libraries of their customers?
This has happened before.

Wouldn't it be ironic if the cure for cancer was bruised moldy tomatoes?
Ridiculous. Next you'll be claiming that moldy bread is a cure for bacterial infections.
And who is to blame for that? nVidia could release specs and work with the OSS community.

I vaguely recall that ocean air is fairly corrosive to electronics. Would they really use iMacs in a situation where they'd possibly have to be replaced frequently and possibly fail at sea? I realize the buyer will have lots of money, but it seems foolish.

Roughly how much is a two hour movie in terms of MB/GB? Is it really a concern of someone using a Sony/Netflix service that watching a movie per day would put them over the limit?
How is this fragmentation? It's just more choice. Gnome2 is dead as far as gnome.org is concerned. Don't like it? Don't use it.
I went to Memphis for Blues and the food, and decided to go over to Sun Studios (Stax Records is also in town and pretty interesting as well). They have a fair amount of memorabilia and they tell you a lot of interesting facts, though if you're a huge fan of that music, you probably already know those facts. If you're stuck in Memphis for 24hrs, it's not near Beale St, but it's close enough, and worth the effort.
Just like the guy this article is about, in a group of analytical thinkers, anti-analytical thinking is bound to be suspect.
