Comment: WTF? (Score -1, Redundant) 380

by randallschleufer (#13725203) Attached to: Flock, the New Browser on the Block
Y'know, sometimes I just want an app to do ONE SIMPLE FUCKING TASK. And I want that app to do it well.

Firefox still works just fine for me. Throwing in a bunch of other crap that I don't need (bloatware) is just waiting to exploited.

I just bought a new laptop, and I was disgusted by the amount of CRAP that was preinstalled on this thing. I have never, EVER needed a friggin firewall, and this computer has THREE of them. Connecting to the internet to do the simplest of tasks resulted in no less 6 system warnings asking me "if it was okay to connect".

I dumped the entire system.

I'd install Linux, but I can't find drivers for half this crap. Furthermore, the majority of my software doesn't run on it (3D Studio, Macromedia Flash Studio, Photoshop). There aren't any suitable Linux replacements for those apps.

Back to this "FLOCK" thing. I hope this fails. The last thing we need is more crap to clutter our systems. We just need things to work, and we need to revert back to simplicity.
